About the workshop
Initiation à la sérigraphie
How do you turn an idea into a printed image?
This workshop invites participants to discover screen printing step by step, a traditional printing technique that allows a design to be reproduced using a stencil and a screen-printing frame.
Working from a selection of images prepared in advance, the group collectively imagines and creates an original design in one or two colours. The design is then turned into a stencil using a laser cutter and attached to the screen-printing frame. All that’s left to do is choose the ink, handle the squeegee and start printing!
From composing the image and preparing the stencil to the hands-on printing process, participants discover the different stages involved in creating a screen print. It’s an opportunity to get their hands inky, experiment with shapes and colours, and discover the result as they lift the frame. Each participant makes their own print and takes their creation home.
A hands-on and creative introduction to screen printing, inviting everyone to discover the joy of making and printing an image themselves.
