About the work
The Life Cycle of a Plastic Tube
The Life Cycle of a Plastic Tube is a time-based artwork showing an endless loop of life and death. Powered by a common electrical heater, warm air is streaming constantly into a plastic skin until it lifts up causing the air to escape and leaving the empty skin ready for the same process again and again. Each 3-minute cycle is individual with unpredictable movements and shapes.
