About the work
THE GAMANKÉ MUSEUM
In the video game Gamanké Museum, this universe becomes a territory to explore. In a fictional desert stands a museum dedicated to the Gamanké masks, supposedly originating from an imaginary region called Kanéma. By activating the masks, visitors gradually release the entities they represent. The museum becomes a space in which what had been frozen, displaced or separated from its context can regain a form of existence and movement. This digital re-emergence acts as a form of symbolic repair, transforming the collection into an active, living narrative.
