AI as Family
The artist
The MA Media Design programme at HEAD – Genève trains designers to explore the potential of interaction design through interfaces, games, immersive experiences, and installations. Over two years, students engage with creative coding, AI, VR, AR, and game engines while combining technical skills with field research and human-centered approaches. Structured around human–machine interaction, and interactive storytelling, the programme also offers collaborations with companies and institutions, as well as opportunities to showcase work at festivals.

About the work
AI as Family
The Familect Dictionary invites visitors to uncover the private languages hidden inside every family. Through a curious talking machine, forgotten words and inside jokes are collected into a living dictionary of human connection.
Làki is a small bird-like companion that communicates through whistles and sounds. Inspired by family calls and messenger birds, it creates playful links between people in their homes.
Tales Through Things (T3) gives a voice to everyday objects. A cup, a radio, or a forgotten tool may become a storyteller, narrating family memories and transforming ordinary things into living archives.
