Musique Meuble

Musique Meuble is the project of Florent and Romain Bodart, two Belgian artists who explore the relationships between sound, image and interaction. Through participatory installations that combine craftsmanship, sound objects and digital tools, they create playful experiences that invite audiences to listen, experiment and create for themselves.

Idiophone XII, an interactive musical installation that invites everyone to compose their own rhythms.

Using a controller accessible to all, visitors can activate twelve sound-producing objects mechanically struck by hammers and define the rhythm of each one. Little by little, a collective composition takes shape through experimentation and interaction.

Between a giant instrument, sound sculpture and musical playground, Idiophone XII transforms the audience’s gestures into an experience that is as creative as it is participatory.
