Papyluc Soundsystem (DJ set)
Brussels-based duo Papyluc Soundsystem delivers energetic, groove-driven sets rooted in house, indie dance and related sounds. Elsewhere in India (performance)
Elsewhere in India is a body of work that explores cultural heritage, digital technology, and speculative futures through film, interactive experiences, video games, and sculpture, created by artists Murthovic and Thiruda.
Elsewhere in India envisions a future shaped by cultural amnesia. Set in 2079 AD, the narrative is anchored by Meenakshi, a ‘cultural cyborg’ designed to safeguard South Asian heritage and promote multicultural innovation. The experience fuses cutting-edge digital mediums—3D video games, AI art, motion-captured dance, and archival footage—to explore how heritage, science, and society intertwine in an imagined Indo-futurist world. The result is a playful yet thought-provoking journey through India's speculative future, underscored by emergent electro-classical dance music.
LES EMPIRES - Guillaume Coutu-Dumont et Line Katcho (performance)
In a surreal odyssey, LES EMPIRES is a synth-heavy piece inspired by science-fiction and mythology. It depicts the cyclical nature of power, decay, and rebirth through the lens of imaginary empires that never existed.
Inspired by Krautrock veterans Manuel Göttsching and Tangerine Dream and more recently by artists like Alessandro Cortini or Caterina Barbieri, Guillaume Coutu-Dumont composes retro-futuristic pieces full of warmth and imperfections, typical of the ambient synthetic sounds of another era. Soft percussion and repetitive melodies create a hypnotic and nostalgic atmosphere reminiscent of an age that may never have existed.
Merging abstract visuals, symbolism and fractured narrative threads, Line Katcho conjures a shifting mirage of power structures rising and crumbling in eternal loops, echoing forgotten pasts and fabricated futures. Time bends, history blurs, and the viewer is left navigating the psychological remains of ambition and entropy.
Line Katcho is a Montreal composer and new media artist working at the intersection of sound and image. Across AV performance, film, virtual reality, and projection mapping, she creates visceral and cinematic experiences, fusing abstraction with narrative, experimentation with tradition, and raw affect with formal precision. Her work is sensory, cathartic, and unmistakably her own.
Trained in classical and Latin percussion and electroacoustic composition, Guillaume Coutu Dumont has been a central figure in Montréal’s electronic scene since the early 2000s. His solo alias Guillaume & The Coutu Dumonts fused house, jazz, gospel, and afrobeat, leading to over a decade of touring across more than 45 countries. His recent work explores a nostalgic, analog-infused ambient style, balancing hypnotic repetition, melodic warmth, and instinctive rhythm.
This performance is co-presented by MUTEK, with the financial support of the Canada Council for the Arts and the Conseil des arts et des lettres du Québec.
