Now in its thirteenth year, NEW INC’s membership model continues to support a diverse range of creative practitioners with a values-driven program and safe space for gathering and developing new creative projects and businesses. Thalian Hall Center for Performing Arts
Thalian Hall was built in 1858 and has been in constant use since that time. It features playing spaces including a 150 seat black box theater as well as the historic MainStage, a 550 seat proscenium theater preserved to look as it did when it opened 168 years ago. Our newest innovation, the Hippodrome, will be a 300 seat and 360 degree projection theater and is currently under construction.

Raffi Lehrer
Founder
Raffi Lehrer is the founder of Public Art Company, a Los Angeles studio that curates, art directs, and produces large-scale public art. For the past decade he has led the curatorial side of the Coachella Art Program, commissioning work with artists including Francis Kéré, Edoardo Tresoldi, Sabine Marcelis, and Phillip K Smith III for audiences upwards of 125,000 people per weekend. That curatorial work has produced a permanent collection of ten works sited in parks and civic spaces across the Coachella Valley, with five more in process. More recently, Public Art Company has brought the same approach to corporate campuses, including a multi-piece kinetic installation by Vincent Leroy for Snap Inc.'s Santa Monica headquarters. Lehrer serves on the boards of the Barnsdall Art Park Foundation and Fulcrum Arts and is based in Los Angeles.
